Whether you’re here to stream movies, game on the go, or just use CarPlay smarter — setup is quick and effortless. Follow the steps below to get started with both standard CarPlay functionality and HDMI entertainment mode.

OPTION 1: STANDARD CARPLAY/ANDROID AUTO SETUP

(Access Maps, Calls, Messages, Spotify, Voice Commands & More)

1. Plug OttoCast into your CarPlay USB port

Insert OttoCast into the USB port where you normally connect your phone for wired CarPlay or Android Auto.

2. Connect your smartphone

Use a USB cable to plug your phone into the OttoCast device. Your car will automatically detect the connection and launch the standard CarPlay or Android Auto interface.

3. Use as normal

Control everything from your car’s screen or with voice commands via Siri or Google Assistant — including music, navigation, calls, and more.

OPTION 2: HDMI ENTERTAINMENT SETUP

(Stream Netflix, play games, mirror screens & more)

1. Plug OttoCast into your car’s CarPlay USB port

Same as above — just insert OttoCast into the USB port that powers your CarPlay or Android Auto.

2. Connect your HDMI device

Use the HDMI input on the OttoCast to connect any compatible device — like a Fire Stick, Chromecast, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, laptop, or camera.

3. Power your HDMI device

If your HDMI device needs power, plug it into your car’s USB port, a power bank, or adapter using its original cable.

4. Switch your car display to HDMI mode

Your car screen will automatically detect the HDMI signal and switch over. You’ll now see your connected device displayed — ready to stream, play, or present.

5. Stream, Game, or Mirror

Enjoy your favorite movies, TV shows, YouTube, or gaming sessions while parked or waiting. Perfect for road trips, passenger entertainment, or downtime.

SWITCHING BETWEEN CARPLAY & HDMI MODES
